Full Domestic Rewire
A full domestic rewire involves the complete replacement of all electrical wiring in your home — the consumer unit, every circuit, every socket, every switch, and every light fitting connection. It is required when the existing wiring is unsafe, when it fails an EICR inspection, or when the property is over 30 years old.

Loft Conversion Wiring
A loft conversion needs a complete electrical installation — lighting circuits, socket circuits, smoke detectors, and a supply spur from the main consumer unit. The specific requirements depend on the size and intended use of the space.
Like kitchen renovations, loft conversion wiring takes place in two stages — first fix before the plasterboard goes up, and second fix after it is done. We work alongside specialists and builders throughout West London and Surrey.

Partial Rewire
A partial rewire targets specific areas or circuits rather than the whole house. This might mean rewiring a kitchen, replacing first-floor circuits, or updating specific cable runs identified as unsafe in an EICR. Partial rewires are cost-effective when the rest of the property is in good condition.
Our site survey will tell you honestly whether a full rewire is necessary or whether targeted work will achieve what is needed. We never recommend more work than the job requires.

House Extension Electrics
Single and double-storey extensions need electrical wiring from the outset. We handle first fix — running cables, installing back boxes, routing circuits — before the plasterboard is installed, and second fix after it is complete.
In some cases the additional load from an extension will require an upgrade to your existing consumer unit, which we identify and advise on at the survey stage.

Kitchen Renovation Electrics

Consumer Unit Upgrade
A consumer unit upgrade replaces an old fuse board with a modern unit featuring full RCD and RCBO protection. This significantly improves electrical safety throughout your home. Consumer unit upgrades are often required before selling a property or adding new high-load devices.
Most upgrades are completed in a single day and cause minimal disruption. The power will be off for a period during the switchover — we plan this with you in advance and aim to keep the downtime as short as possible.

What is Part P?
Part P of the Building Regulations requires that all notifiable electrical work in England is carried out by a competent, registered person. Documentation is available on request where required.

Do I need to move out during a rewire?
Not necessarily - for partial rewires and smaller properties we can work around you. For full rewires on larger properties we will discuss the best approach at the survey stage.
